What we do

Full brake service for e-scooters & e-bikes

Parts availability: Common brake pads, rotors and calipers are stocked in-house for same-day repairs. Less common parts can often be sourced from UK suppliers — for specialist or older model parts we may need to source from abroad. Call ahead and we'll check availability before your visit.
Multiple repairs? If your scooter needs more than one brake job done at the same time, we offer a bundle deal based on the work required and parts needed. Get in touch for a combined quote — it's almost always cheaper than paying for each job separately.
🔲
Brake Pad Replacement

Worn pads reduce stopping power and can damage your rotor. We replace brake pads for both mechanical and hydraulic systems. Common pads stocked in-house for most popular models.

Brake Adjustment

Brakes feel spongy, rubbing, or pulling to one side? We adjust cable tension, pad alignment and lever reach to get your brakes sharp and responsive again.

Common questions

Brake repair FAQ

How do I know if my brakes need attention?
Key signs: squealing or grinding noise when braking, lever pulling closer to the handlebar than usual, vibration when braking, longer stopping distances, or the lever feeling soft and spongy. Any of these means it's time to get them checked.
What's the difference between mechanical and hydraulic brakes?
Mechanical disc brakes use a steel cable to pull the caliper and clamp the rotor — they're simple, easy to maintain and repair. Hydraulic disc brakes use fluid pressure instead of a cable, giving more stopping power with less lever effort and a more consistent feel. Hydraulic brakes perform better but require periodic bleeding to maintain performance.
How often do hydraulic brakes need bleeding?
Generally every 12 to 24 months under normal use, or sooner if the lever starts feeling spongy. Heavy use, overheating or air getting into the system will speed this up.
Do you stock brake parts or do I need to order them?
Common brake pads, rotors and calipers for popular models are stocked in-house for same-day repairs. Less common parts can often be sourced from UK suppliers. For specialist or older model parts we may need to source from abroad. Call ahead and we'll check what we have before your visit.
Is it worth upgrading from mechanical to hydraulic brakes?
If you ride frequently, in wet conditions, or carry extra load, hydraulic brakes make a noticeable difference in stopping power and feel. For casual riders on dry roads, well-maintained mechanical brakes are perfectly adequate. We'll give you an honest recommendation based on how you use your scooter or e-bike.
Do you need an appointment for brake work?
Yes — appointment only. Call or WhatsApp to book. Simple jobs like pad replacement and adjustment are often available same day.
